Synthezia Documentation

Practical guidance for local-first meeting intelligence.

Synthezia is a desktop application that transcribes recordings and helps you create summaries and ask questions using local models or an optional remote provider.

BetaSyntheziaWorkflows, release artifacts, and platform compatibility are still being validated for the public beta.

  • Start here — orient yourself before installation and first use.
  • Core workflows — understand the path from audio to a transcript, summary, and session questions.
  • AI and models — distinguish Local Mode from an optional remote provider.
  • Troubleshooting — keep source recordings safe while you gather diagnostic information.
  • Privacy and security — review local storage, network use, permissions, and remote-provider boundaries.

Use the start-here section to understand what is configured in the current beta and what still needs release validation.

Synthezia can import selected media or capture a recording, then transcribe and process the resulting session with local models or an optional remote provider.

Local Mode uses local transcription and AI models after the required models have been installed. Model downloads require network access.
