Privacy and security
Synthezia is local-first, but the right privacy decision depends on the processing mode you choose. Local Mode processes audio, transcription, summaries, chat, and local search on the device after the required local models are installed. Selecting an OpenAI-compatible provider creates an external processing boundary for supported text, chat, and embedding requests.
Start with the processing boundary
