Product limitations
Beta and compatibility
Section titled “Beta and compatibility”Synthezia is beta software. macOS 12.0 is a configured minimum, not a complete tested support matrix. The repository does not establish public support for every macOS configuration, Intel Mac, Linux, Windows, signing, notarization, or Gatekeeper behavior.
Generated content needs review
Section titled “Generated content needs review”Transcription and AI-generated summaries or answers can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular decision. Review them against the recording and other authoritative sources. Synthezia does not currently offer a verified speaker-diarization or speaker-relabeling workflow.
Processing and privacy choices
Section titled “Processing and privacy choices”Local Mode uses local models after their downloads complete. Selecting External API can transmit transcript, summary, prompt, conversation, retrieved context, and embedding input to your configured provider. The application stores remote-provider settings, including an API key, in webview local storage rather than the operating-system keychain.
Storage and deletion limits
Section titled “Storage and deletion limits”Deleting a session removes its local database row and derived indexes. It does not delete the original source file you selected. The current beta also has unresolved audio-copy and cleanup behavior, so do not use session deletion or app-data reset as a complete filesystem-erasure workflow.
Export limits
Section titled “Export limits”The supported structured-summary formats are Markdown, PDF, and DOCX. The current export flow does not provide general transcript or TXT export. The visible audio-copy action has inconsistent behavior across active and reloaded sessions and is not documented as a supported export contract.
