Summary generation fails
Symptoms
Section titled “Symptoms”A summary request fails, an error appears in the summary area, or the session remains transcribed without a completed summary.
Likely causes
Section titled “Likely causes”The transcript may be absent, the selected local model or Ollama runtime may be unavailable, or the configured External API can reject the request.
Fast checks
Section titled “Fast checks”Confirm the transcript is present, identify the selected provider, and check Model Manager for the required local model when using Local Mode.
Resolution
Section titled “Resolution”Resolve the first missing model, runtime, or provider error, then regenerate the summary with an appropriate mode. The application keeps a completed transcript available after a final summary-generation failure.
Data-loss warning
Section titled “Data-loss warning”Do not reset the app or delete the session to retry a summary. The transcript is the useful source for a targeted retry and review.
Information to collect for support
Section titled “Information to collect for support”Collect provider mode, selected model, summary mode, exact error, session status, whether the transcript is complete, and whether session chat has the same failure.
