Play back a recording
Outcome
Section titled “Outcome”When the open session has a usable audio path, you can listen through its play and timeline controls.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An active session that completed audio conversion and shows the player in its header.
- Open the session immediately after import or recording completes.
- Use the Play audio control in the session header.
- Drag the timeline to move within the available audio.
- If the player does not appear or cannot load, keep the original source recording and continue transcript review from that source.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The current session audio plays in the header when the application can load its active audio path.
Data boundary
Section titled “Data boundary”Playback is local and does not send audio to an AI provider. It is not a verified durable-audio-storage or deletion guarantee.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”- The player is missing after reload: current audio-path persistence differs between active imports, reloaded imports, and recorded sessions. This behavior is still under validation.
- The player fails to load: retain the original source file; do not assume the normalized audio copy is available after reopening the app.
- You need a reliable archive: keep the original recording under your own file-management process.
